Western United States: Scenic roads thru the Pacific Coast, canyons, valleys, and deserts

The Western United States, commonly referred to as the Far West refers to the region comprising the westernmost states of the United States. A road trip throughout the Western United States belongs to the bucket list of everyone.

What to see?

There is a lot to see and the area is huge. From Los Angeles to Las Vegas, from San Francisco to Seattle. In this vast land, there are natural wonders like the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Yosemite, Arches, Yellowstone, the Rocky Mountains, and many more.

The West of the United States is made up of two regions. The Mountain states include Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The Pacific states are California, Oregon, and Washington.

The  Pacific Coast Highway is renowned as one of the best road trips in the world. Along the way, there are Sonoma and Napa counties, just 50 miles north of San Francisco.

The famous Route 66 is a legendary road. Built in 1926, it is one of the first highways in the U.S. It starts in Chicago and ends in Los Angeles. Travelers can enter anywhere along the route, which goes you thru Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and southern California until LA.

As a result, it is almost impossible to decide on the best route to take for this incredible journey. Even more, roads are in perfect state and driving is just amazing in the land of unlimited possibility.

Why the Western United States?

Because this is the land of dreams, the land of unlimited possibilities. Also, it is an incredibly diverse region, a true melting pot. Furthermore, there are hidden gems to explore. The food, maybe is not always healthy, but surely delicious. The Western United States offers breathtaking scenic views. And because it is great to experience the American way of life.
